Feb 10, 2016 · i bought a 459 standard last year, (before i new about the 459e), and have been very happy with it. It's a no frills machine, but works great. It uses the baletrak pro monitor, but has manual bale shape indicators. The 459e comes with the monitor, but no bale shape indicators (manual or electronic). I cannot understand why deere would leave.
Now, all of a sudden it is starting to plug up on the bottom front roller to the point where the baler shuts down. Bale 52 rolls yesterday and then almost burned the slip clutch up. The right side of the tension arm (open up side doors and each side has large triangle piece where cylinder and spring attach) snapped off cleaner than a whisltle. This is my first round baler and first time i've ever used one so maybe it is my fualt but more i watch you tube read and talk to people with them i don't think its my fualt. The standard is the entry level with the least options. The more options you add the more the price increases. Vermeer's rebel series it their entry level baler. They do not offer a standard option. The options you upgrade on the vermeer are things like net, no string, bale shape monitor etc. Feb 5, 2024 · not sure why deere didn't include them, but there were other models that also didn't have them (the 375 didn't, and i don't think the 335 did either if i remember right?). Actually, now that i write that down, it seems like all their 5' diameter (and under) balers didn't have the latch/hook:

Jun 30, 2014 · thanks for the pressure gauge info ih 1586. We have a jd459 baler and often get debris in the baler hydraulic valve which affects the plunger from seating and reducing our pressure. Bales come out soft and 300 lbs. Which is when i know there is a problem. But i often suspect i might have minor problems due to pressure. I owned a 425 acre farm with 200 acres of quality bermuda grass hay. I sold the farm and retired 2 years ago. I now have a shop and i buy 2 or three balers a year, rebuild them for sale. I also repair john deere balers for the local farmers here in nw arkansas.
